George Thomas Umensetter, 78, formerly of Georgetown, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, at his home in Lakeland, Fla.
Born Feb. 18, 1934, in Finchville, Ky., he was the son of the late George and Claris Rogers Umensetter.
He was retired from Ford Motor Co. and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survivors include his wife, the former Carol Steilberg; two sons, George Thomas Umensetter III of Corydon and Larry Wayne Powers of Elizabeth; four daughters, Phyliss Coffey of Corydon and Rhonda Emberton, Toy Wheeler and Daneen Powers, all of Louisville; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Sunday, Dec. 2, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Monday, Dec. 3, after 9 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown.
Funeral: Monday, Dec. 3, at noon at the funeral home with burial in Wolfe’s Cemetery in Georgetown.
