Helen F. Reynolds, 98, formerly of Corydon, died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012.
Born July 28, 1914, in East Grand Forks, Minn., she was the daughter of the late Sarah Sonner Fried and Roy (Jack) Milton Fried.
She graduated from Corydon High School, earned her bachelor’s degree in June 1958 and her master’s degree in August 1959 from Western Kentucky College in Bowling Green and was a retired school teacher at Richardsville High School in Bowling Green, Ky., and North Harrison High School in Ramsey.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Charles Reynolds; five brothers, Milton (Pat), Judson, Walter (Ham), David Fried and Don Fried; a sister, Mary Earp; and a stepdaughter, Mary Reynolds Morgan.
Survivors include a daughter, Sharron Reynolds Gillion of Augusta, Ga.; a sister, Jean Benner of Temple Terrace, Fla.; a brother, Edward Fried of Corydon; three grandsons; three step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren.
Graveside service: Monday, Nov. 5, at 11 a.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
Arrangements: Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Alzheimer’s Association.
