Naomi R. Oppel, 67, Ramsey, died Monday, Oct. 29, 2012, at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation Center in Corydon.
Born Aug. 14, 1945, in New Albany, she was the daughter of Ethel Lucille Wiseman Pitman of Ramsey and the late Delbert Clarence Pitman.
She was a homemaker and attended Old Capitol United Methodist Church in Corydon.
Survivors besides her mother include her husband, Keith O. Oppel; a son, Brian Oppel of Salem; a daughter, Carrie Oppel of Jeffersonville; a brother, Roger W. Pitman of Ramsey; and a sister, Judith A. Mothersbaugh of Newburgh.
Visitation: Wednesday, Oct. 31, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, Nov. 1, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Thursday, Nov. 1, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
Officiant: The Rev. Andy Hansen.
Pallbearers: Gregg, Darren and Scott Oppel, Kevin Keltner, Carl Bussabarger and Brad Backherms.
Honorary pallbearer: Jason Pepmeier.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Harrison County Community Foundation for the Dr. Ken Oppel Scholarship Fund or Old Capitol United Methodist Church’s building fund.
