Odena P. Miller

Odena Peg Miller, 57, Laconia, died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012, at her home.
Born Jan. 27, 1955, in Corydon, she was the daughter of the late Howard S. and Crystal Ione Miller Frakes.
She was employed at the U.S. Census Bureau in Jeffersonville, was a past president and member of the Laconia Lions Club, a member of Laconia Presbyterian Church, Lanesville Heritage Committee, the Celebrate Laconia organization and the Laconia Homemakers Club and was secretary of the Old Goshen and Union Chapel Cemetery foundations.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Frakes.
Survivors include a daughter, Amy Peg Watson of Elizabeth; a son, Adam Lee Miller of Norfolk, Va.; and three brothers, Edward Frakes of Aiken, S.C., Noel Frakes of New Albany and Max Frakes of Georgetown.
Visitation: Sunday, Sept. 9, from noon to 8 p.m. and Monday, Sept. 10, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Monday, Sept. 10, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Union Chapel Cemetery near Laconia.
Pallbearers: Ray Smith, Travis Frakes, Jed and Karl Omernick, Larry Hennings and James Everage.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Laconia Presbyterian Church, the Union Chapel Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund or the American Diabetes Association.
