Wiseman wins 1st Old Cap Club title

Timothy Wiseman came away with the Old Capital Club Championship at the Corydon golf course on Aug. 19.
The Corydon Central High School sophomore carded an 8-over par 152 for the two-day, 36-hole event. Wiseman shot a 73 on Aug. 18 and followed with a 79 the next day.
High school teammate Ryan Crawford placed second with a 157. Rounding out the championship flight were Dwight Seals (159), Larry Harmon (161) and Jack Miles (162).
The winner of the first flight was Richard Timberlake, carding a 151. Placing second in the first flight was Steve Reising, followed by Michael Wiseman, David Dukes and Keith Lieber.
In the senior division, Alan Hess shot even-par 72 on Saturday and followed with an 81 to place first. He was followed by Bob Glordan (153), Ron Meriwether (156), Rick Pflanz (162) and Jim Hodge (176).
Monica Harmon won the ladies’ division, while Melinda Wiseman finished second.
