Mamie R. Hilbert

Mamie Ruth Hilbert, 88, Georgetown, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012, at Wellstone Hospital in Jeffersonville.
Born June 5, 1924, in Nelson County, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Liebert Alden and Verna Mae Stout Tingle.
She was a homemaker and member of Grace Assembly of God Church in Palmyra.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Thomas Hilbert; a daughter, Thelma L. Reid; and a half sister, Peggy Lucas.
Survivors include three daughters Doris Jean Brown of Corydon and Carolyn Sue Smith and Anna Ruth Zimmerman, both of Georgetown; a brother, Gene Alden Tingle of Louisville; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, Aug. 29, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, Aug. 30, after 10 a.m. at Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey.
Funeral: Thursday, Aug. 30, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Palmyra Cemetery.
