Richard I. Cooper

Richard I. Cooper, 60, Palmyra, died Monday, Aug. 20, 2012, at his home.
Born Nov. 12, 1951, in New Albany, he was the son of the late Joseph V. Cooper and Juanita F. Brown Dooley.
He was a retired mechanic with TARC and a member of Blue River Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife, the former Mary (Cindy) Johnson; three children, Richard (Joey), Keith A. and Kathryn M. Cooper; four siblings, Jerry Cooper, Norman Dooley, Ruth Ann Floyd and Norma E. Bell; and three grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, Aug. 22, from 5 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, Aug. 23, from noon to 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home in New Albany.
Funeral: Friday, Aug. 24, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with cremation to follow.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the James Graham Brown Cancer Center.
