Violet M. Bryant

Violet M. Bryant, 95, died Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, at Indian Creek Health & Rehabilitation Center in Corydon.
Born Jan. 20, 1917, in New Amsterdam, she was the daughter of the late George and Myrtle Brown Rainbolt.
She was a homemaker, a seamstress at the former M. Fine & Sons, assisted in tax preparation and a member of the VFW Post 1693 Ladies Auxiliary and the former Holy Trinity Catholic Church in New Albany.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Richard Bryant; a son, Timothy Bryant; four brothers, Clifford, James, Howard and Carl Rainbolt; and three sisters, Evelyn Couie, Georgie Ridings and Catherine Crump.
Survivors include four children, Larry and Mike Bryant, Patsy Hall and Brenda Huff (Donald); 15 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; and three great-great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, Aug. 15, from 2 to 8 p.m. at Kraft Funeral Service’s Spring Street Chapel in New Albany.
Funeral: Thursday, Aug. 16, at the funeral home with burial in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in New Albany.
