Dr. Arch J. Lewis

Dr. Arch J. Lewis, 92, died Saturday, July 28, 2012, at his home.
He was a graduate of St. Xavier High School, served in the Army’s 101st Airborne division during the Normandy Invasion, was a prisoner of war for 11 months, completed dental school at the University of Louisville and had a dental practice until he retired in 1965, attended St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Bradford, served two terms as president of the KTBA, was a Kentucky Colonel and a member of the Corner Bums of Third and Central.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, the former Alice Orndorff; his parents, Joseph and Imogene Lewis; and a sister, Mary Elizabeth Isay.
Survivors include two sons, John and Brad Lewis; a daughter, Gary Robben; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, Aug. 1, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra.
Funeral: Thursday, Aug. 2, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
