Gregory W. Coons

Gregory Wayne Coons, 46, Depauw, formerly of the Portland neighborhood of Louisville, died Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born Sept. 2, 1962, in Louisville, he was the son of the late Bryant F. Sr. and Betty J. Dugan Coons.
He was an auto and truck mechanic and a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church (formerly Church of Our Ladies) in Portland.
Survivors include his wife, the former Lori Jean Villier; a son, Michael Cronen of Corydon; a daughter, Sheri Cronen of Louisville; a brother, Bryant (Bud) Coons Jr. of Louisville; three sisters, Judy Robinette and Kathy Akers, both of Louisville, and Marie (Chrissy) Villier of Palmyra; and a grandson.
Visitation: Friday, July 6, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, July 7, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral Mass: Saturday, July 7, at noon at his church with burial in Blue River Chapel Cemetery near Corydon.
Officiant: Father John Burke.
Pallbearers: Rick and Carson Elmore, Jeremy Robinette, Russ and Davie Villier, Terry Wright and Chris Erhart.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society.
