Larry C. Morris
Larry C. Morris, 74, New Albany, passed away Friday, June 29, 2012, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.
He was a native of New Albany and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a retired bartender from Tommy Lancaster’s Restaurant after more than 45 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Jean Morris; his first wife, Betty Morris Sheets; his parents, Otto I. Sr. and Florence Morris; and a brother, Victor Morris.
Survivors include four sons, Brian A. Morris of Houston, Texas, Jeffery T. Morris of Elizabeth, Steven R. Morris of New Middletown and Larry C. Morris II of Sellersburg; a daughter, Launa Searcy of New Albany; a stepdaughter, Deborah L. Wathen of English; two brothers, Otto (Bud) Morris and Glen A. Morris; two sisters, Reba Ingle and Joy Chaffin; 11 grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and eight stepgreat-grandchildren.
Visitation: Tuesday, July 3, after 11 a.m. at the Oak Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes (1846 E. Oak St. in New Albany).
Funeral: Tuesday, July 3, at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial: Private.
