Frank L. Armstrong III

Frank Lynn (Freaky Frank) (Frog) (Big Daddy) Armstrong III, 55, Corydon, died Thursday, May 31, 2012, at his home.
Born Oct. 7, 1956, in Madison, he was the son of the late Frank and Nadine Lothridge Armstrong.
He was a 1975 graduate of Shawe Memorial High School in Madison, was drafted in 1975 by the Baltimore Orioles, attended Treveca Nazarene College in Nashville, Tenn., on a full athletic scholarship, Hanover College and Ball State University, worked for Hilltop Basic Resources near Brandenburg as the quarry manager, safety director, river operations manager and quality control manager and was a member of the Knights of Columbus in North Vernon and Beta Theta Pi fraternity.
Survivors include his wife, the former Shelby Jean Jones; three daughters, Brittany and Breanna Armstrong, both of Corydon, and Mindy Bunselmeier of Osgood; a son, Tim Christman of Corydon; two brothers, Mike and Tim Armstrong, both of Madison; and a grandson.
Visitation: Monday, June 4, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, June 5, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Lytle Funeral Chapel in Madison.
Mass of Christian Burial: Tuesday, June 5, at 11 a.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church with interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, both in Madison.
Officiant: The Rev. Chris Craig.
