Doyle S. Lower

Doyle Stewart Lower, 90, Corydon, died Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at Harrison Health & Rehabilitation Centre in Corydon.
Born Sept. 13, 1921, in Walnut Creek, Ohio, he was the son of the late Arthur and Caroline Mast Lower.
He was a retired analytical engineer with the Allison Division of General Motors, a member of the Elk’s Lodge in Englewood, Fla., and the Corydon Moose Lodge, a 32nd degree Mason and life member of the Scottish Rite, and an Air Force and Indiana Air National Guard veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Laverne Lower, and a sister, June Weiss.
Survivors include his wife, the former Wynona Jean Perkinson; a son, Michael S. Lower of Corydon; a daughter, Melinda Wiseman of Corydon; two grandsons; and three great-grandsons.
Visitation: Friday, May 11, after 10 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Friday, May 11, at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery near Corydon.
Officiant: The Rev. Ron Russell.
Pallbearers: Michael, Tommy, Timothy and Joey Wiseman, Brian Lower, Jim LaDuke and Frank Ordner.
