Hazel Burkhead

Hazel Woosley Burkhead, 93, Elizabeth, died Wednesday, April 18, 2012.
Born May 28, 1918, in Westmoreland, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Walter and Sudie Mayes Woosley.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty McMorrow; four brothers, Marvin, Leslie, Roy, and John Woosley; a sister, Hattie Woosley; and two grandchildren, Steven and Wayne.
Survivors include four children, Stanley L. Doan, Joyce A. Comley, Carl E. Burkhead and Mary Sue Bullock; and 13 grandchildren.
Visitation: Thursday, April 19, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Friday, April 20, from 11 a.m. to noon at Newcomer Funeral Home in New Albany.
Funeral: Friday, April 20, at noon in the Paul F. Kraft Sr. Memorial Chapel at the funeral home with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park in Louisville.
