Male body found in Ohio River

Indiana conservation officers are conducting a death investigation after a body was located Sunday afternoon in the Ohio River.
Harrison County Dispatch was notified just after 1:30 Sunday that a body had been located just upstream from Horseshoe Southern Indiana casino at Bridgeport.
The body was located by an employee of the casino, said Conservation Officer Jim Schreck.
A male body was recovered a short time later by conservation officers. Members of the Indiana State Police and the Indiana Gaming Control Division assisted in the recovery.
‘The Harrison County Coroner’s Office has taken possession of the body,’ Schreck said.
An autopsy was scheduled for yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon.
‘We hope to glean more information at the autopsy to identify the male,’ Schreck said.
