N. Thomas Conway

Norman Thomas (Tom) Conway, 76, Corydon, died Sunday, April 8, 2012, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.
Born Jan. 11, 1936, in Ann Arbor, Mich., he was the son of the late Norman S. and Mae Jenny Tecker Conway.
He was an Air Force veteran, a barber, a former insurance agent with Farm Bureau Insurance, a member of Corydon Sportsman’s Club, Old Capital Golf Club and American Legion Hornickel Post No. 379 in Elizabeth and a former firefighter with the Harrison Township Volunteer Fire Department.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald and Donald Conway.
Survivors include his wife, the former Sharon L. Smith; three daughters, Marty L. Smith, Mickey L. Hendrich and Monica S. Davison, all of Corydon; a sister, Dorothy L. (Patsy) Miller; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Monday, April 9, from 5 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, April 10, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Graveside service: Wednesday, April 11, at 11 a.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
The family suggests memorial gifts to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
