Jesse R. Byerly

Jesse Richard Byerly, 79, Corydon, died Thursday, April 5, 2012, at his home.
Born Oct. 15, 1932, in Harrison County, he was the son of the late Samuel J. and Margaret Snyder Byerly.
He was a retired truck driver, a life member of the VFW Old Capitol Post 2950 in Corydon and a Navy veteran of the Korean War.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Lola Seiler.
Survivors include his wife, the former Joyce Quebbeman; a son, Jeffrey J. Byerly of Corydon; a daughter, Jennifer Smith of Corydon; two brothers, Carl E. Byerly of Corydon and Stanley O. Byerly of New Salisbury; a sister, Ruby Flick of New Albany; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Visitation: Sunday, April 8, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Monday, April 9, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Monday, April 9, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Pfrimmer’s Chapel Cemetery east of Corydon.
Pallbearers: Randy Flick, Alan Frederick, Barbara Mardis, Steve Smith, Justin Byerly and Bryan Schaffner.
Honorary pallbearers: Jackie Byerly and Ashley and Heather Smith.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Hosparus.
