Susan G. Stevens

Susan G. Curts Stevens, Greenwood, died Friday, March 30, 2012.
Born Sept. 4, 1950, in Corydon, she earned a master’s degree in environmental engineering at Purdue University in 1990, was the first woman in Indiana to acquire a Class IV Wastewater Treatment Operator’s Certification and License and, in 1987, was the recipient of the Arthur Bedell Award from the Water Environment Federation.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Jan Curts.
Survivors include her husband, Chip Charles; her parents, Archie and Alice Curts; a sister, Rita Neff; a stepdaughter, Alex; and two grandchildren.
Visitation: Monday, April 2, at G.H. Herrmann Funeral Home in Greenwood.
Funeral: Monday, April 2, at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Humane Society.
