Sherden Hacker

Sherden Hacker, 98, New Salisbury, died Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at Indian Creek Health & Rehabilitation Centre in Corydon.
Born Aug. 28, 1913, at Manchester, Ky., he was the son of the late Levi and Martha Brewer Hacker.
He was a retired carpenter.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Gladys Sizemore, and three sisters, Edna White, Bernice Sizemore and Elizabeth Bush.
Survivors include a daughter, Lois Pennington Ransom of New Salisbury; a son, Leroy Hacker of Marengo; two brothers, Ray and Maynard Hacker, both of Dayton, Ohio; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Friday, March 30 at 1 p.m. at Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey with burial in Central Barren Cemetery.
Officiant: Brother Morris Larimore.
Casket bearers: Billy Ray Hacker, Jeremy Elrod, Jimmy Emmerit, Lonnie Leake and Chris and Daniel Chinn.
