Phyllis C. Carver
Phyllis C. Carver, 77, Corydon, died Saturday, March 17, 2012, at Indian Creek Health & Rehabilitation Center in Corydon.
Born Aug. 16, 1934, in Corydon, she was the daughter of the late Forest and Lucille Pate Wiseman.
She was formerly employed in the OB department at Harrison County Hospital and Keller Manufacturing Co., both in Corydon, and a member of Pfrimmer’s Chapel United Methodist Church near Corydon.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Elmer S. Carver, Allen Stepro and Charles Wathen Sr., and a brother, Homer Wiseman.
Survivors include five sons, Charles L. Wathen of Louisville, Elmer R., Jaye and Jeffery W. Carver, all of Corydon, and Donald F. Carver of Arlington, Ky.; four daughters, Virginia A. McMonigle, Patricia K. Payne, Denise Davison and Donna J. Richard, all of Corydon; a brother, Carl Wiseman of Central; a sister, Doris J. Cochran Landers of Corydon; 19 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Monday, March 19, from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, March 20, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, March 21, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Wednesday, March 21, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Mount Zion Cemetery near Mauckport.
Officiant: Pastor Tim Johnson.
Pallbearers: Forrest, Clayton, Chris, Gregory, Daniel and Mat Carver, Kurt Davison, Jeff Singleton and Chris and Mike Wathen.
Honorary pallbearers: Cyd Payne, Hayden Ruby, Bradley Carver and Preston Phillips.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the American Diabetes Association.
