Anna Marie Hoehn Schellenberger, 96, died Monday, March 5, 2012, in New Albany.
Born June 29, 1915, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of the late George and Ida Reibel Hoehn.
She was a long-time member of Holy Family Catholic Church in New Albany, a former member of St. Mary Lanesville Catholic Church, was active in the Holy Family Marian and Quilters Guilds, made rosaries for Rosary Makers in Louisville, which provided rosaries for various missions throughout the world, crocheted baby afghans, stitched handmade quilts for St. Elizabeth-Catholic Charities in New Albany, made lap covers for residents of Providence Retirement Home and volunteered at many functions of the Second Street Neighborhood Association in Louisville.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, George M. Schellenberger; a son, Carl Schellenberger; a brother, Walter Hoehn; and a sister, Frances Schellenberger.
Survivors include her children, Paul, Dennis and John Schellenberger, Mary Baker and Jo Ann Lockhart; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Thursday, March 8, from 1 to 8 p.m., with a rosary service at 7, at Newcomer Funeral Home in New Albany.
Funeral Mass: Friday, March 9, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in New Albany with burial at St. Mary Lanesville Catholic Cemetery.
