The Rev. S. Geary Sadler

The Rev. S. Geary Sadler, 93, died Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012, at his daughter’s home in Chariton, Iowa, after a brief illness.
Born June 29, 1918, in Greensburg, Pa., he was the son of the late Samuel and Catherine Sadler.
He spread God’s word through his tape ministry and, after retirement, he attended Montgomery Brethren in Christ Church near Mercersburg, Pa.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, the former Pauline B. Miller, on July 26, 2008, and a sister, Emma Cope.
Survivors include a son, Ronald Sadler of Hernando, Fla.; five daughters, Darlene Cooley of Waxhaw, N.C., Connie Kipe of Chambersburg, Pa., Kathryn Anderson of Chariton, Iowa, Suzanne Budke of Smyrna, Tenn., and Faith Trent of Wetumpka, Ala.; a brother, Robert Sadler; 19 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Thursday, Feb. 9, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday, Feb. 10, from 10:30 to 11:330 a.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Chambersburg, Pa.
Funeral: Friday, Feb. 10, at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by interment in Air Hill Cemetery.
Officiant: Pastor Dennis Ritchey.
