Dennis R. Neely

Dennis Ray (Hawkeye) Neely, 58, Lanesville, died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
Born March 3, 1953, in New Albany, he was the owner/operator of Hawkeye Enterprises Ltd. for 15 years, was the Floyd and Clark County representative for ABATE, a member of Christian Motorcycles for Christ, organizer of the ABC Charity Event Chicken Run and the Papa Carver Memorial Run and a member of Masonic Lodge No. 581 in Henryville and the Kosair Shrine.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne E. (Joe) Neely, and a brother, Roy Glenn Neely.
Survivors include his mother, Irene Neely Cuerdon, and her husband, Alfred R. Cuerdon; a brother, Phillip W. Neely of Palmyra; a sister, Yvonne Kay Jacobs of Corydon; and his step-family.
Visitation: Wednesday, Feb. 1, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Oak Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes in New Albany.
Celebration of life: Thursday, Feb. 2, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
