Floyd R. England

Floyd R. England, 89, Paoli, died Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012, at 5:27 a.m. at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.
Born March 16, 1922, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, he was the son of the late Henry Hillous England and Atlie Arminta Rhoton England.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, retired from General Electric Co. in Louisville and a member of Rock Springs Community Church in Hardinsburg.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Eva Carlisle, on Oct. 15, 1989; two sons, Floyd Eugene and Melvin England; and a stepdaughter, Viana Fore.
Survivors include his wife of 17 years, the former Jane Rinoldo; two daughters, Cathy Thomas and Lisa Cook, both of Paoli; five sons, James, Kenneth and Gary England, all of Paoli, John England of Mitchell and Rick England of Hardinsburg; seven stepdaughters, Jane Reed of Shelbyville, Ky., Mary Crutcher and Linda Thronhill, both of Brandenburg, Elizabeth Ashcraft of Austin, Texas, Elaine Grauer of Charlotte, N.C., Suzanne Ashcraft of Walnut, Calif., and Jackie Elder of Bowling Green, Ky.; two stepsons, William Ashcraft and Kenneth Pollack, both of Brandenburg; a sister, Elna Smith of Louisville; a brother, Kenneth England of Louisville; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren and step-great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Thursday, Jan. 12, from 4 to 8 p.m. at McAdams Mortuary in Paoli and Friday, Jan. 13, after 11 a.m. at Rock Springs Community Church.
Funeral: Friday, Jan. 13, at 1 p.m. at the church with burial in Rock Springs Cemetery.
Officiant: Brothers Mark Manship and Harvey McAdams.
