Mark L. Miller
Mark L. Miller, 50, Corydon, passed away Monday, Dec. 26, 2011, at his home.
Born March 31, 1961, in Corydon, he was the son of Marion Miller of Corydon and the late Elmira Ireland Miller.
He was a materials coordinator for Koetter Woodworking in Borden. He was the first from Harrison County to be chosen to play in the Indiana High School Baseball Allstars, was a Babe Ruth League umpire and was involved in Youth League basketball and baseball coaching for many years. He chartered Boy Scout Troop No. 525 in Lanesville and was assistant Scout master for Boy Scout Troop No. 25 in Georgetown for many years and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lanesville, where he was a member of a Christ Renews His Parish (CHRP).
Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Roscoe and Leona Miller.
Survivors besides his father include his wife, the former Trina Clinard; two sons, Travis and Justin Miller, both of Corydon; three brothers, Monty Miller of Jeffersonville, David Miller of Corydon and Nathan Miller of Ramsey; and three sisters, Rhonda Dyer of Ramsey, Kelly Hughes of Shelbyville, Ky., and Annette Combs of Brandenburg.
Visitation: Wednesday, Dec. 28, from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 29, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., with a rosary at 7:30, and Friday, Dec. 30, after 8 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral Mass: Friday, Dec. 30, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lanesville with burial in the church cemetery.
Officiants: Fathers Juan Valdes and Harold Ripperger.
Pallbearers: Monty, Nate and David Miller, Timothy Wright and Terry and Timothy Clinard.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Lanesville Youth League, the Lanesville Athletic Fund at Lanesville Junior-Senior High School or the Boy Scouts of America Lincoln Heritage Council ‘ Designation for Youth In Need Funding for Summer Camp.
