William (Billy) Boris, 86, Laconia, died Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011, at Corydon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Corydon.
Born April 19, 1925, in Dante, Va., he was the son of the late George and Mary Gon Boris.
He was retired from Keller Manufacturing Co. in Corydon, was a retired staff sergeant in the Army, having served in Korea, was a veteran of the Navy, having served in World War II, and was a life member of Old Capitol VFW Post 2950 in Corydon.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Dorothy K. (Dottie) Smith; a daughter, Theresa Marie Logsdon; two sons, Billy Boris Jr. and Donald Jude Boris; four sisters, Mary, Lena, Katie and Edith; and three brothers, Johnny, Victor and Jimmy.
Survivors include three sons, James Michael Boros of Shepherdsville, Ky., George Franklin (Frankie) Boris of Corydon and Raymond Victor (Ray) Boris of Laconia; three daughters, Dorothy Frances Kellams of Laconia, Mary Elizabeth Decker of Laconia and Pamela Joy Logsdon of Georgetown; 14 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Tuesday, Dec. 20, from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 21, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday, Dec. 22, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Thursday, Dec. 22, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Memorial Cemetery near Laconia.
Officiant: Brother Stanley Hardin.
Pallbearers: Eric Eckart, Chris, Matt, Sid (Buddy) and Jaren Decker, Mike Marshall and Rick and Chance Logsdon.
