Alyce Irene Watson, 79, Clarksville, died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011, at Providence Retirement Home in New Albany.
Born July 14, 1932, in Corydon, she was the daughter of the late Ellsworth J. and Alma K. Kiger Saulman.
She was a retired cashier at Kroger in the Portland neighborhood of Louisville and Clarksville.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline E. Ashton.
Survivors include her husband, Guy L. Watson; a son, Guy Michael Watson of Estill Springs, Tenn.; two daughters, Denise K. Hannigan of Charlestown and Shelly J. Lutes of Terre Haute; four brothers, Paul E., James F., Carl W. (Corky) and Kenneth R. Saulman, all of Corydon; a sister, Susie Troncin of Corydon; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Saturday, Dec. 17, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 18, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Sunday, Dec. 18, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery west of Corydon.
Officiant: The Rev. Douglas Finney.
Pallbearers: Jim Hannigan II, Kyle and Cody Lutes, Mick and Bill Saulman and John Ashton.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
