Donald R. Parr Sr.

Donald Ralph Parr Sr., 71, Fisherville, died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2011, at Baptist East Hospital.
Born Sept. 22, 1940, in Alton, he was the son of Virginia Parr of Alton and the late Ralph Parr.
He graduated from Leavenworth High School and the Pennsylvania State University Sprinkler Fitter Apprenticeship Program, was a retired sprinkler fitter for Hussung Mechanical Local 669, was a Boy Scout leader, an Honorable Kentucky Colonel and a Baptist.
Survivors besides his mother include his wife, Lois; two sons, Donald Parr II of Fisherville and Darin Parr of Louisville; a brother, Robert Parr of Alton; a sister, Sue Bullington of Fredonia; and five granddaughters.
Visitation: Thursday, Dec. 8, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Owen Funeral Home in Jeffersontown, Ky.
Funeral: Friday, Dec. 9, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Flower Point Cemetery in Alton.
