Forrest G. Richmer

Forrest G. Richmer, 81, Lanesville, died Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
He was a carpenter, a former maintenance worker at Lanesville High School and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lanesville.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, the former Agnes Receveur; four sons, Dennis Richmer of Georgetown, Larry Richmer of Sellersburg, Dale Richmer of Madison and Alan Richmer of Lanesville; three daughters, Linda Poliskie of Jeffersonville, Carol Richmer of Georgetown and Jean Wills of Lanesville; a brother, William Richmer of Corydon; a sister, Mary Rita Smith of Milltown; 11 grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and 12 step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Saturday, Oct. 1, from 3 to 8 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:30, Sunday, Oct. 2, from 1 to 8 p.m. and Monday, Oct. 3, after 8 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral Mass: Monday, Oct. 3, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lanesville with burial in the church cemetery.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Mass of the Air or WHAS Crusade for Children.
