Hazel L. Loughmiller

Hazel Lucille Kiger Loughmiller, 87, formerly of New Albany, died Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2011, at Morningside House in Walford, Md.
Born March 13, 1924, in Corydon, she was a 1943 graduate of New Albany High School, a homemaker and a longtime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Morningside Volunteer Fire Department, Forestville VFD and the Prince George’s and Maryland State Fireman’s Association.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clair M. Loughmiller Sr.
Survivors include her children, Clair (Marty) Loughmiller Jr., Patricia A. Hunter and Susan L. Vanaman; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Wednesday, Aug. 24, at 11:30 a.m. at 11:30 a.m. at George P. Kalas Funeral Home in Maryland followed by interment in Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Cheltenham, Md.
