Doris H. Eckart
Doris H. Eckart, 84, Corydon, died Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011, at Harrison Health & Rehabilitation Centre in Corydon.
Born Feb. 1, 1927, in Corydon, she was the daughter of the late Asa L. and Edna Crider Harbaugh.
She was a homemaker and a life member of the Old Capitol Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star in Corydon, the Floyd County Democratic Women’s Club and Old Capitol United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, William A. Eckart of Corydon; a daughter, Becky Heishman of New Albany; two sisters Betty L. Mathes and Jean Annis Wiseman, both of Corydon; two granddaughters; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Tuesday, Aug. 16, from 1 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, Aug. 17, after 11 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Memorial service: Wednesday, Aug. 17, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
Officiant: The Rev. Richard Goodwin.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the American Diabetes Association.
