Walter L. Robinson

Walter L. (Robby) (Rags) Robinson, 79, Lanesville, died Sunday evening, July 31, 2011, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
Born March 28, 1932, in Louisville, he was the son of the late Roy and Mary Fluhr Robinson.
He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War, a retired blacksmith of 46 years with the Ford Motor Co. and attended Pfrimmer’s Chapel United Methodist Church near Corydon.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Joe, Frank and Kenneth Robinson, and two sisters, Mary Evelyn Robinson and Marie Knear.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, the former Hilda R. Loew; three children, Ruthanne Best, Patrick Robinson and Rosie Lieber; two brothers, Hubert and Ralph Robinson; three sisters, Odie Kingsley, Ivy Hollkamp and June Jacobi; and two grandsons.
Visitation: Wednesday, Aug. 3, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home in New Albany and Thursday, Aug. 4, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Pfrimmer’s Chapel United Methodist Church east of Corydon.
Funeral: Thursday, Aug. 4, at 11 a.m. at the church with burial and military honors at Pfrimmer’s Chapel Cemetery.
