Margel Lois Hausz, 83, Lanesville, died Friday, July 29, 2011, at University Hospital in Louisville.
Born Nov. 18, 1927, in Crandall, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Altha Rose Meurer Miller.
She was a homemaker, a former employee of the old Woolworths and the White House Dept. Store, both in New Albany, and a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church near Lanesville.
Survivors include her husband, Paul W. Hausz; four daughters, Karen Harbeson and Connie Reising, both of Corydon, Judi Knowles-Duncan of Anderson and Kathy Albin of Lanesville; two sisters, Dorothy (Dot) Dukes of Corydon and Marilyn Flick of Depauw; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Sunday, July 31, from 2 to 7 p.m. and Monday, Aug. 1, after 9 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Monday, Aug. 1, at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church south of Lanesville with burial in the church cemetery.
Officiant: Pastor Christopher Truelsen.
