Doris J. Housel

Doris Jean Housel, 81, Corydon, died Thursday, July 14, 2011, at Golden Guardians Elder Care in Corydon.
Born Dec. 14, 1929, in Louisville, she was the daughter of the late Allon and Marie Nau Deakins.
She was retired from The Corydon Democrat newspaper in Corydon.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Housel, and two sisters, Virginia and Bitsy Watson.
Survivors include two daughters, Vicki Vizzi of Florida and Janet Webster of Corydon; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren, Evan, Addison and Cheyenne.
Visitation: Monday, July 18, from 1 to 7 p.m. and Tuesday, July 19, after noon at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Tuesday, July 19, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
Officiants: The Rev. Jim Higdon and Kenny Schmelz.
Pallbearers: Nathan Webster, Andrew Ausburger, Joey Kintner, Erin Nelson, Jack Fowler and Tom Walther.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Fountain United Methodist Church.
