Jerome L. Ward

Jerome Lee Ward, 68, Elizabeth, died Saturday, June 25, 2011, near Elizabeth.
Born June 17, 1943, in Louisville, he was the son of the late Huey Delbert and Mary Ruth Young Ward.
He was a 38-year retiree of the Ford Motor Co. Kentucky Truck Plant in Louisville and a member of UAW Local No. 862 and Old Union Community Church near Elizabeth.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Russell Ward.
Survivors include his wife, the former Virginia Gay (Ginny) Hardsaw; four sons, Jeremy Lee and Craig Lee Ward, both of Corydon, and Eric Lee and Terry Ray Ward, both of Elizabeth; a daughter, Sherri Jill Murphy of Ramsey; a sister, Lana Sue Ward of Louisville; and six grandchildren.
Visitation will be tomorrow (Thursday) from 1 to 8 p.m. and Friday after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Friday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery in Elizabeth.
Officiant: The Rev. Paul Garriott.
Pallbearers: Blake and Kaleb Weaver, Phillip Conder, T.J. Troutman, J.R. Farrow and Adam Bratcher.
Honorary pallbearers: Leonard Miller, Ray Carden, Chester Ward and Bill Cundiff.
The family suggests memorial gifts to his church or the Salvation Army.
