Saundra M. Douglas
Saundra (Sandy) M. Douglas, 65, Corydon, died Monday, June 6, 2011, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.
Born Nov. 10, 1945, in Bowling Green, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Elijah and Lillian Wade McCormick.
She was a member of Lincoln Hills Christian Church in Corydon, a charter member of Georgetown Baptist Church, a life member of the Harley Owners Group, American Motorcycle Association, Ladies of Harley and the Order of the Eastern Star, was past president and secretary of Corydon Central Band Boosters and past Scout master and cub master of Pack 22 Boy Scouts of America.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, James Eric Douglas.
Survivors include her husband, James (Jay) Douglas; a daughter, Tammy M. Alcorn of Corydon; three brothers, Philip McCormack of Lewisburg, Tenn., and Gary and Jerry McCormack, both of Bowling Green, Ky.; a sister, Patty Sparks of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; and three grandchildren.
Visitation: Thursday, June 9, from 3 to 8 p.m. and Friday, June 10, after 9 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Friday, June 10, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
Officiant: the Rev. Webster Oglesby.
