Leota Gayle Arbuckle, 95, Depauw, died Saturday, June 11, 2011, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.
Born July 6, 1915, in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late James Franklin and Cynthia Elizabeth Walton Loyd.
She was a homemaker and a member of Unity Chapel United Methodist Church near Ramsey.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard H. Arbuckle; two daughters, Pauline Mullen and Margie Thompson; three grandsons, Donald and Russell Arbuckle and Ronald Thompson; and seven brothers and sisters.
Survivors include two sons Orval E. and Ivan D. Arbuckle, both of Depauw; a daughter, Patricia Wernert of Ramsey; 22 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Monday, June 13, from 5 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, June 14, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey and Wednesday, June 15, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Unity Chapel United Methodist Church south of Ramsey.
Funeral: Wednesday, June 15, at 2 p.m. at the church with burial in Hancock Chapel Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Hancock Chapel Cemetery Fund.
