Bessie I. Thevenot, 90, Ramsey, died Thursday, April 14, 2011, at Harrison Health & Rehab Centre in Corydon.
Born April 13, 1921, at Depauw, she was the daughter of the late Samuel B. and Zula Ethel Baker Green.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Marengo Wesleyan Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alva N. Thevenot; four brothers, Charles, Millard, Alva and Delbert Green; a sister, Goldie Taylor; and two great-grandchildren, Skylar Demming and Jason Thevenot.
Survivors include three sons, Bernard L. Thevenot of Georgetown, Allen R. Thevenot of Palmyra and Mark E. Thevenot of Deputy; a daughter, Zula (Betsy) Puthoff of Elberfeld; two sisters, Mary Chinn of Depauw and Erma Snyder of Corydon; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Funeral: Sunday, April 17, at Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery near Corydon.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Kosair Children’s Hospital or Marengo Wesleyan Church.
