Martina M. Sonner

Martina M. Sonner, 85, Mauckport, died Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at Indian Creek Health & Rehabilitation Center in Corydon.
Born Aug. 30, 1925, in Harrison County, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Rozella Sonner Cotner.
She was a member of Valley City Presbyterian Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Straude Melvin (Doc) Sonner; a brother, Nyle Cotner; and a sister, Savilla Bliss.
Survivors include two sons, Martin E. and Garth E. Sonner, both of Mauckport; three daughters, Gretchen E. Ward and Gwendolyn E. Sonner, both of Corydon, and Angeline E. Wright of Mauckport; four brothers, Raymond E. Cotner Jr. of Central, Paul Cotner of Mauckport, Samuel Cotner of Bloomington and Ted Cotner of New Albany; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Thursday, April 7, from 5 to 9 p.m., Friday, April 8, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday, April 9, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Saturday, April 9, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Wesley Chapel Cemetery near Mauckport.
Officiant: The Rev. Dr. Carol W. Humphrey.
Pallbearers: Jeremy and Adam Ward, Whitney and Cheyenne Wright, Logan Dunaway, Jimmy Bliss and Chad Anderson.
