Ruth Garland

Ruth Garland, 84, Elizabeth, died Friday, March 4, 2011, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.
Born July 31, 1926, in Corydon, she was the daughter of the late Wylie and Jimmie Estelle Sims Washburn.
She was retired from Pillsbury in New Albany.
Survivors include her husband, Donald; a son, Robert Garland of Elizabeth; a daughter, Judy Martin of Elizabeth; a sister, Mary Fry of Anderson; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Saturday, March 5, from 4 to 8 p.m., Sunday, March 6, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Monday, March 7, after 10 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Monday, March 7, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
Officiant: The Rev. Bob Stewart.
