Janiece M. Byrne

Janiece M. Byrne, 80, Rushville, died Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at 3 a.m. at Millers Merry Manor.
Born April 24, 1930, in Rushville, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Zelma Wolfe Malson.
She was a 1948 graduate of Rushville High School, formerly owned and operated Byrne’s Grocery Store in Rushville for 30 years, was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women, was active at the Rushville Senior Center and the BPW and volunteered at Rush Memorial Hospital.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Byrne, on April 26, 2003, and a daughter Sherry Kuebler, in 1995.
Survivors include a son, John M. Byrne of Rushville; a brother, Allan Malson of New Castle; and three grandchildren.
Visitation: Thursday, March 3, after 4 p.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Rushville.
Funeral: Friday, March 3, at 1 p.m. at the church with burial in East Hill Cemetery in Rushville.
Officiant: Pastor Jan Dimick.
Arrangements: Moster Mortuary in Rushville.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Rush Memorial Hospital Foundation or St. Paul United Methodist Church.
