Elsie Ruth Goldman Yocum, 85, Corydon, died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011, at her home.
Born Aug. 27, 1925, in Harrison County, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Lonnie and Floy Elnora Watson Goldman.
She was a former employee of the old Army ammunition plant in Charlestown for 30 years and McDonald’s in Corydon for 10 years and a member of Church on the Rock in New Albany.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles William and Arthur Ray Goldman, and a sister, Alice Germaine Leist.
Survivors include a daughter, Prentha Cochran of Corydon; two sisters, Roma Faye Jacobs and Mary Ann Brown, both of Corydon; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Tuesday, Feb. 15, from 1 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, Feb. 16, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Wednesday, Feb. 16, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home followed by burial in Central Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Charles Snyder, Lonnie Faith, Duane Yocum, Jerame and Shayne Cochran and Jesse Murphy.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Hosparus, The Community Hospice of Southern Indiana.
