Earl T. Survant

Earl T. Survant, 81, Corydon, died Monday, Feb. 14, 2011, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
Born July 22, 1929, at Huntingburg, he was the son of the late Alfred E. and Wynona Kendall Survant.
He was a retired senior coordinator of Stations and Terminals for the Norfolk Southern Railroad, a Kentucky Colonel, a member of Shrine Murat Temple, Scottish Rite Valley of Evansville, and a 60-year member of the Masonic Lodge, having joined the Huntingburg Lodge Nov. 20, 1950, and was past master of the Tell City Lodge, current member and twice past master of Georgetown Lodge No. 480, and an honorary member of Crandall Lodge No. 591, Blue River Lodge No. 457, Eckerty Lodge No. 791, Milltown Lodge No. 661, Pisgah Lodge No, 32, Greenville Lodge No. 416, Branchville Lodge No. 496 and Mystic Tie Lodge No. 398, Indianapolis. He also was a member of Unity Chapel United Methodist Church near Ramsey.
Survivors include his wife, the former Dorothy Ann Ash; a son, Randall E. Survant of Virginia Beach, Va.; a daughter, Beth Bickel of Corydon; three grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Visitation: Wednesday, Feb. 16, from 2 to 8 p.m., with a Masonic service at 7, and Thursday, Feb. 17, after 10 a.m. at Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey.
Funeral: Thursday, Feb. 17, at 1 p.m. at Unity Chapel United Methodist Church south of Ramsey with burial in Wood’s Chapel Cemetery near Ramsey.
