Edna L. Frederick

Edna LaVerne Frederick, 77, New Salisbury, died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2011, at her home.
Born May 17, 1933, at Upton, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Harrison and Margaret Ann Dennis Riggs.
She was a former employee of the old Keller Manufacturing Co. and a member of Old State Capitol VFW Post No. 2950 Auxiliary and New Salisbury United Methodist Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Frederick Jr., and a brother, Garland Riggs.
Survivors include a son, Benjamin Frederick of Cartersville, Ga.; five daughters, Sharon Morris of English, Judy Fisher of New Salisbury, Lisa Brown of Crothersville, Paula Earls of Palmyra and Bobbi Jo Archer of Corydon; two sisters, Wanda Long of Greenville and Gladys Johns of Dayton, Ohio; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Tuesday, Feb. 8, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, Feb. 9, after 10 a.m. at Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey.
Funeral: Wednesday, Feb. 9, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Central Barren Cemetery.
