Edward E. Carpenter

Edward E. (Bud) Carpenter, 69, Oriole, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
Born May 9, 1941, in Grenada, Miss., he was the son of the late Travis and Irene Flemmons Carpenter.
He was an Army veteran, a retired employee from the Ford Kentuckiana Truck Plant in Louisville and a member of UAW Local 862.
Survivors include his wife, the former Donna Luckette; a son, Edward M. Carpenter of Ferdinand; three daughters, Betty Dennis of Louisville, Debora Leibering of Huntingburg and Kim Benningfield of Santa Claus; a brother, James Riley Carpenter of Shepherdsville, Ky.; three sisters, Earlene Ford of Hernando, Miss., Geneva Meek of Batesville, Miss., and Shirley Mail of Picayune, Miss.; six grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.
Visitation: Friday, Jan. 28, from 2 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, Jan. 29, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Saturday, Jan. 29, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Holy Cross Catholic Church Cemetery in St. Croix.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Dubois County Leukemia Association.
