Emily L. McQuillen

Emily Lowe McQuillen, 94, Corydon, died Friday, Jan. 21, 2011, at Indian Creek Health & Rehabilitation Center in Corydon.
Born June 27, 1916, in Sherman, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Katharine Pruden Lowe.
She was a retired registered nurse, a member of Corydon Presbyterian Church and a World War II Army nurse who served her country in Europe and the Philippines.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Lloyd McQuillen, and two brothers, Elmer and Russell Lowe.
Survivors include a daughter, Diane Harrison West of Corydon; two sons, David McQuillen of New Richmond, Wis., and Daniel McQuillen of Delaplane, Va.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Memorial service: Saturday, Jan. 29, at 1 p.m. at Corydon Presbyterian Church.
Arrangements: Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Officiant: The Rev. Scott Hill.
