Claude J. Harbeson Jr.

Claude J. Harbeson Jr., 86, Sellersburg, formerly of Corydon, died Monday, Jan. 3, 2011, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
Born Aug. 3, 1924, in Roseville, Ill., he was the son of the late Claude C. and Effie V. Gehlbach Harbeson.
He was a janitor at Corydon Central High School, an employee of the old Wennings Meat Packing Co. in Central Barren and a member of the Men’s Auxiliary of the VFW Post 3281 and First Southern Baptist Church in Clarksville.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita M. Harbeson; three daughters, Brenda Grangier, Donna Roach and Debra Harbeson, all of New Albany; four stepsons, Mark Snapp of Sellersburg and Dennis, Stanley and Roger Wilkerson, all of Corydon; three brothers, Howard Harbeson and Joe Harbeson, both of Corydon, and Donald Harbeson of Georgetown; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Thursday, Jan. 6, from 1 to 8 p.m. and Friday, Jan. 7, after 1 p.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown.
Funeral: Friday, Jan. 7, at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Pfrimmer’s Chapel Cemetery near Corydon.
