Frances E. Quebbeman

Frances E. Quebbeman, 99, New Salisbury, died Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.
Born Oct. 8, 1911, in Morgan Township, she was the daughter of the late Clarence A. and Nettie Bopp Quebbeman.
She graduated from Indiana University School of Nursing in 1932, served as commander in the Nurse Corps Office for the U.S. Navy from 1935 to 1958, completed graduate work at the University of Arizona with a Master of Arts in 1962 and a Ph.D. in 1966. Her doctorate dissertations were published by the Arizona Medical Association. She was a member of Central Barren United Methodist Church, the Military Officers Association and Association of Military Medical and Surgery.
Survivors include her brother, Donald C. Quebbeman of Colorado.
Visitation: Monday, Dec. 20, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra.
Funeral: Tuesday, Dec. 21, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Central Barren United Methodist Cemetery.
Officiant: Pastor Leslie Grimsley.
