Garnie E. Catron

Garnie E. (Ed) Catron, 81, Corydon, died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010, at Indian Creek Health & Rehabilitation Center in Corydon.
Born March 14, 1929, in Powersburg, Ky., he was the son of the late John and Lola Cook Catron.
He was retired from GTE telephone company, was a member of the Presbyterian faith and the Old Thresher’s Club in Missouri and was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Leonard, Walter, Jake and Estille, and a sister, Evelyn.
Survivors include his wife, the former Henrietta M. Lowe; a son, Richard L. Catron of Warrenton, Mo.; a daughter, Garnette J. Talbot of Herman, Mo.; a brother, Everett; four sisters, Ida, Alliene, Dicie and Luda; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Tuesday, Dec. 14, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, Dec. 15, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Wednesday, Dec. 15, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
