Lady Rebels lose 2 at home

The South Central Lady Rebels dropped to 0-4 on the season with a pair of home losses last week.
Class 4A third-ranked Jeffersonville raced to a 27-5 lead after one quarter en route to a 74-32 win in Elizabeth last Wednesday night.
‘What was so disappointing in this game is we never came close to competing with them,’ said South Central coach Randall Schoen. ‘They could have beaten us by a lot worse. Good thing is we won’t see another team this good.’
On Friday, South Central shot 26 percent from the field, including 18 percent behind the three-point line, in a 65-40 loss to Loogootee.
The Lady Rebels were outrebounded 36-19.
Loogootee led 22-21 at halftime then outscored South Central 27-8 in the third quarter to take control.
‘This group may take longer to understand what we are wanting to do,’ Schoen said. ‘We have some young players who have never been in these situations, but we also have some older players standing and watching too much.’
South Central will host Meade County tonight (Wednesday).
